why can't i do anything based on location on my ipod? Such as on the weather app  I can't get the local weather. But that's not it I can't do anything based on location. And yes location services is enabled.

    you must be connected to or within range of a crowd-sourced Wi-Fi network otherwise your iPod Touch cannot determine your location

    On maps does it show your location

    For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database.  Thus it appears that routers near you are not in Apple's database. As of yet there does not seem to be a way to tell Apple to add a router. It appears that Apple update their database based on data obtaind from iPhones and maybe iPads with the 3g/4G conectivity.

    That means your router is not in Apples's database.
