If your phone in the past was ever jailbroken you may never get the phone reactivated. Contrary to what many jailbreakers say, restoring the phone to remove the jailbreak does NOT always yield a pristine phone.

Thanks. I don't think this one was ever jailbroken, but I'll have to ask to be sure. Even so, a lot of people with 3gs's seem to have this same problem even if their phone was never jailbroken when they upgrade to 5.1.1.
