Hello, I just got my mac after 7 yrs on pc...can't play you tube ? what do I need to download? thx
Specifically for flash video sites like youtube you need to install the Adobe Flash Player internet plugin for your browser(s). Download it from the Adobe Flash download page.
When you download it it will be a .dmg file (probably downloads into your Downloads directory). If it doesn't automatically mount on your desktop as an icon which is named Flash Player then double click the dmg to get it to mount. Open (double click) the mounted icon on your desktop to open it. In there you will see the flash installer. Double click that to launch it. Click the "agreement" checkbox and then click install button. After the install is completed you can drag the mounted dmg folder and the dmg itself to the trash.
At this point you should be able to play flash videos in your browser.
