Mar 16, 2012 1:23 PM in response to estevan9790by Quixx23,None of this works for me. This is ridiculous.

Apr 4, 2012 7:19 AM in response to Quixx23by Cobalt19,Well - not so ridiculous as my situation. I didn't even know the Apple 4S has something called iMessage. I certainly dont know where to find the App if its on the iPhone, let alone to 'login' or whatever you have to do. It might have a lot to do with the fact that Apple doesnt supply helpful User Manuals and instead we are forced to spend hours browsing discussion forums to get answers to basic questions that should have been obviously provided in an accompanying User Manual for the device.
Is there a complete iPhone 4S User Manual hidden somewhere on the Handset or somewhere on the internet? If so - where can I find it in 20 seconds not two hours?
Thanks anyone.

Apr 4, 2012 7:24 AM in response to Cobalt19by bhillinger,You can find manuals for all Apple products here: http://support.apple.com/manuals
Here's the manual for the iPhone 4S with iOS 5: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf

Apr 4, 2012 1:53 PM in response to bhillingerby Cobalt19,Thank you bhillinger for doing now what Apple could have made easier two months ago when I bought my iPhone 4S.
To be honest I am sick of trawling the Apple website to try to find information on how to use their products and services - invariably they are hidden away in subsets of pages within pages which seem to be written by 'geeks' for geeks and not for the average person. It is better to be pointed at the correct document by someone - saves time and frustration - so THANK YOU. I hope one day Apple will learn...

May 15, 2012 6:31 AM in response to ashley*reneeby Razorhog,I've tried everything I can find, and iMessage/Facetime will not work. iPhone4 with iOS 5.1.1
Tried different DNS settings
Tried removing and replacing SIM card
Hard/soft reboots
Resetting network settings
Checked AppleID website to verify phone number
Phone is registered and verified in iTunes
Phone number has not changed
The only option I see left is to wipe out the phone and restore a backup. But if I go through all of that trouble, wouldn't the same problem be in the backup?
