Q: Mi camera of a macbook pro is too dark, do you know why or how to fix it?

Frecuently whn I turn on the camera of my mac te image is too dark, and I dont know why.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

    (1) Use good (means BRIGHT) lighting for best pictures from your camera.

    (This old article still calls the camera "iSight", but the info applies to FaceTime (and FaceTime HD) cameras, too.)

     

    (2)  You write "frequently", not "always", so your Mac may have hardware problems.

     

    If your problem continues even in very bright light, use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions.

     

    Then download and apply the latest Combo Update for your Mac OS: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1524

     

    Repair permissions again immediately following the system restart that completes the Combo update.

     

    Properly applying the Combo version of updates can sometimes correct software problems, but, if your trouble is caused by a hardware problem, there are no user serviceable parts of iSight.  For hardware help, contact an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.

     

    Unless you have a current backup, make one before relinquishing your Mac for service.

    Make sure there is brighter light in the foreground than the background
