May 16, 2012 5:46 AM in response to a brodyby a brody,In the meantime you can sign up for a free online developer account on http://developer.apple.com/ and submit a bug report including files that couldn't be read to http://bugreporter.apple.com through their attachment mechanism. If your files are sensitive, create some dummy photos and submit them up through their system. I.e. a photo of a door or something of the like.

May 16, 2012 5:52 AM in response to a brodyby nkalvi,I'll submit a report and see what happens.
I have other programs to read and use the raw files, so I don't need/want to go back to 10.7.3.
Thanks again for your time.

May 16, 2012 12:34 PM in response to nkalviby rmiller88,I have the same problem with my GF3. Interestingly, Aperture can read the files fine, but Finder and iPhoto are having problems with them (Finder shows me small thumbnails, but not large versions when I hit the space bar). My wife's 10.7.3 computer can still process them normally.

May 16, 2012 12:51 PM in response to rmiller88by Arcanjur,I did update as well to 10.7.4 and I am having the same problem (no quick view, no preview). My camera is a Lumix GF1. Aperture works fine as well.

May 16, 2012 4:29 PM in response to nkalviby rmiller88,★HelpfulI started a similar thread (before I noticed this one), and someone replied by pointing me to the helpful thread:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3942768?start=30&tstart=0
I tried the suggestion, and it fixed the problem for me.
You need to execute this command in the terminal (and I believe you may need to do it separately for each user on your computer):
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library
I'm not sure how the above command gets formatted, but make sure that it is all one command and that there are only spaces before and after the "-R"
If you want to understand what the above command does, check out the thread I linked to.

May 16, 2012 4:38 PM in response to rmiller88by nkalvi,Thanks!
Make sure to remove the space after LaunchSe ... (as mentioned in the other thread) - so it reads:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

Jul 14, 2012 2:17 AM in response to nkalviby n-cooke,Just did this and hey presto, it works - I have quickviews and previews back. Now I just need to find a way to get thumbnails and coverflow working with the same files.
