I've been dealing with this issue and nobody has helped me so far.  I tried to buy an app yesterday and I received a message saying that my credit card security code was invalid. I inputed my credit card info again, I received the same message.  I contacted my bank as I was suggested and they said everything was fine with my card.  It's the same card I've been using in the past 6 month without any problems.  So far I've been trying to update my apps but I cannot do it because of the security code.  I' ve inputed the information at least 20 times.  I've doble checked the address from my acount, and nothing.  So far I have not received a single information from Apple on what to do, besides of inputing my information again.  So far I cannot buy or update my apps.  I need help, please!

    HI Roberto ..

Perhaps it's not just the security code > iTunes Store: My credit card's security code or zip code does not match my bank's records

You can try contacting Apple using the email form here > Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us

Just to be clear, your profile indicates you have an iPad so you would be downloading apps from the App Store on your iPad but you posted in the, "Using Mac App Store" community for the Mac OS X, so the problem is downloading apps on your iPad correct ???

If that is the case, try "resetting" your iPad.

Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Try downloading an app. If that didn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Then restart your iPad.  Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears.  Slide to power off.  After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.

    Then try downloading an app.

If that didn't help, try resetting your Apple ID account.

Tap Settings > Store > Apple ID then tap iForgot. From there you can reset your Apple ID account. Then try downloading an app.

If you couldn't reset your account that way, type this url in the Safari web address bar:   https://iforgot.apple.com

Then follow the instructions for resetting your account.

Hi Carolyn, I think I posted in the wrong forum. Yes, my problem is with my ipad.  I've been looking for an answer and there are a lot of post with this issue but not a single answer tomsolve it.  I checked everything, from postal code to card ifo and everything is correct.  The funny thing is that it work perfectly just two days ago.  It's so frustrating.  Thanks a lot.

It's ok to post here.. I just wanted to make sure it was your iPad and not a Mac issue.

Did you try the suggestions I posted yet?

Sorry it took me a while to respond, I couldn't find the thread. When I restored the ipad it erased my last bookmark. Fortunatelly I have a Blackberry and I could find the thread there.

I did everything you told me. I restarted the ipad, reseted all settings, and my Apple ID.  Nothing worked. At the end I asked my wife for her credit card and it worked. I really cannot understand why my card is blocked, and the weird thing is that from the forums this has happend to a lot of people. Just type "security code" and you will see how many credit cards are blocked without apparent reason. What troubles me is that if in a future my wife's credit card is blocked too I won't be able to download anything. Thanks for your time. I hope Apple address this problem soon.
