When trying to up date my apps it asks me to sign in with my apple Id. However,  it shows a user name that belongs to my daughter, and I am not able to change the user name. Any suggestions?

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

    Settings > Store

    Tap on your Apple ID

    Sign out

Sign in with the correct ID

OK...is it possible these apps were purchased under her ID?  If they were, they are forever tied to the ID they were purchased under.

If the apps were purchased using her ID, you will need to know her password to update the apps.  It has always been this way.  Apps are tied to the ID they were purchased under.

The reason you can't change to your user name is you are attempting to update the apps which were downloaded under her ID, would be my best guess.

If you want to delete the Apps, all you have to do is hold your finger on any app until they all start to jiggle.  Once they jiggle, you'll see an X on upper left side of each app.  Touch the X and you'll delete the app.

You tried to delete the apps, but couldn't?

One can also delete apps off an iPad via iTunes sync on the computer.
