Q: The wireless network appears to have been compromised / Airport Express cannot connect with AES

Hi

I get the message 'The wireless network appears to have been compromised and will be disabled for about a minute'

I have read this link, which tells you you to change to WPA2-AES

https://discussions.apple.com/message/10943036#10943036

Unfortunately when I use AES my Airport Express cannot connect (it stays on flashing amber). This happens if I use WPA2 with AES or WPA with AES.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks

Unfortunately, the early of the Airport card (first version, non-Extreme) did not have support for any variety of WPA or WPA2.  Supposedly these models can connect to a WPA network if the router is set to use TKIP instead of AES. Unfortunately again, Airport base stations and Airport Express routers don't have a control to force it to use TKIP.  Still, some people report success connecting to Airport access points with properly upgraded firmware/software, but I haven't been successful yet myself.
