Apple TVWelcome to the Apple community.
Yes, that's entirely possible. In fact my son borrows my iPad occasionally to download photos from his camera, and rather annoyingly they end up in my photo stream album and I then have to delete them all.

Apple TVThey are automatically imported into photo stream when you import the photos into your photo app. When a camera is connected to the iPad, the photo app will detect it and give you the option to import some or all of the photos from the camera.

Mar 22, 2016 3:47 PM in response to Winston Churchillby Richard Sharp,I have another question? I want to use my camera connection kit to import Photos into my iPad Mini. I then want to view the pictures and delete the ones I do not want. From there I want to use Photos to Export the remaining picture to a USB/ Flash Connector drive. When I get home I want to use the same USB flash drive to put them into Photos and make a photo book. Will I lose resolution? Should I export as as unmodified or export as regular? Please help!

Mar 22, 2016 3:50 PM in response to Nick Lovegroveby TimCoohck69,You can take a photo with your iOS device, or import photos from your digital camera to your iPad or your Mac or Windows computer. iCloud automatically pushes copies of the photos over any available Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection to your other devices.
If you take photos with burst mode or image stabilization, only the photos you select as favorites when using burst mode, and the final composite image shot with image stabilization, are added to My Photo Stream. If you want all burst-mode photos uploaded to My Photo Stream and your iPhone has iOS 7.1 or later, go to Settings > iCloud > Photos (or Settings > Photos & Camera), then turn on Upload Burst Photos.
