Q: another device on the network is using your computer's IP address
Hello,
I have macbook air 11" mid 2011 and suddenly few days ago it started to kwep giving me this message when I was connected to a wifi network. Other devices on the network dont have such problem and I tried also to use other networks and it gives me the same message on every one of them. I have also tried to 'renew DHCP lease' in network settings.
This is what the computer keeps doing:
1. I turn on the wifi and computer connects on the network. It is fully connected and I can even use the internet for a few seconds
2. Then the message pops up that another device onthe network is using my computers IP adress (192.168.0.100).
3. The wifi icon on the taskbar changes to "!" and there is "alert: no internet connection"
4. Then the wifi disconnects from the network and starts searching fora new network, finds the same and connects to it with the adress 192.168.0.101 and goes to step 1 and iterates the adresses 192.168.0.x+1
MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Before the problem occured I got it set to "shared network", but when I was playing CS on LAN I couldn't see any servers so I tried the types of network sharing one by one until I came to one that worked and it was type "default adapter" ... and that was the case of the problem ... now I switched it back to "shared network" and everything goes OK.
