Hi some how i have managed to delete all my events in iphoto i do not have time machne set up yet and would really like to get them all back can anyone offer any help, do Mac have a system restore point like windows, am still getting use to the Mac only had it about 5 weeks

    check the trash inside the iPhoto app.  Thats right, iPhoto has its own trash - see on left hand side off app

    Hi checked Iphoto trash and it is empty, bit worried about downlading software that i have not heard of, is there an alterantive ? trid the rebuild libray infor i found on here but that dose not give me back my events

    That software works just fine.  Ive used it, you will run a deleted file scan.  You can buy that exact same software at the Apple Store.  Its not made by Apple but its is used to recover deleted files.

     

    Also - have you checked to see if the iphoto library is there in your pictures folder,  if so hold controle + click, or right click on the "iPhoto Library" and sellect "show packedge contents"  then find your "originas" folder - do you see your phtos there ?

    I think I have the same problem as Storm 287. All of my photos are still there (10,000+), but they've been lumped into one event (the last event I created). I can't figure out how to get the photos back sorted into all of the original events (and/or film rolls). I do use Time Machine on a Time Capsule, but I'm not quite sure how I would just restore these events and re-distribute the photos among them.
