if it is a mid-2010, and you purchased the machine from July 2010 to May 25, 2011, and bought AppleCare, the AppleCare is good to 3 years from date of the computer's purchase.   If you haven't bought AppleCare, and it was purchased after May 26, but around June 9th, you still have an opportunity to buy AppleCare now and register it right away.  Any hardware repair will likely cost more than AppleCare itself. So you might as well get it.

You can try these methods to eject the disc.  Command-S at startup gives you a command line you can attempt it from.

Once you clarify if you can still get AppleCare, do you have the original installer CDs?

Thanks for the fast reply. I bought it 5 may 2010. I have the orginal installer cd's for snow leopard... i havn't bought applecare and if i look at the website, it isn't possible to buy apple care now because the machine is already 2years old? if a recovery boot isn't working, doenst that mean something is broke? atleast, i hope not

edit: safe boot seems to work?

You can't buy AppleCare, that's correct.  You must do it within the first year of ownership.

If safe boot works, it sounds like an incompatible driver is installed.  The recovery boot though probably isn't working because of a possible hard drive problem, or a directory issue with the hard drive.  If the directory issue is present, it can affect many things on the hard drive.    Is your data backed up?

Before i installed Lion i made a back up, once lion was up and running I deleted those. but the data isn't my biggest problem.i just want my mac fixed without paying a retailer half of a fortune.

    Either hard drive or RAM.

Sometimes you can isolate the RAM with the hardware test that comes with Macs.  Other times it is necessary to swap known to spec RAM that supports the vintage and model of the machine, not just the official timing spec.  So if you see RAM that says anything other than your MacBook vintage in its advertising, you may not get the right RAM.    See my FAQ*:

Tahnks, but I don't know how I did it, but my mac is back up and running (for the moment). I took the lion dvd out, put the snow leopard dvd in, and suddenly lion started installing without a problem..

Be aware you may be on borrowed time.  Keep yourself backed up at least twice.
