Not so easy, Chamar. If the original Rescue Email is same as the new Apple ID, you can not seem to change it. Even if you delete the rescue ID - it is still in there. Even if you add a new alternate email address- the old rescue ID is still in there. You can seem to get rid of the Rescue ID that was in place when you set up the account.
Go to https://appleid.apple.com then click on Manage your account. Sign im when prompted. Choose Password and security. Answer the security questions then you should be directed to the page where you can change the questions on your account and the rescue email as well. And your password if you want to. Hope this helps.
I'm having the same problem. I just received in my primary email that my birth date and security questions were updated. I did not authorize this. So I tried to change my password but to no avail. I kept hitting the "send reset security info to email" which apparently is my rescue email, but I do not even remember giving a rescue email?! It's certainly not my primary email because no new emails are being sent through. How should I contact Apple about this, because no matter what I type, my answers to the security questions are not matching with what was apparently given. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
I had the same problem sheffaroo - I wanted my primary ID to be changed to an email addres I had previously used for the rescue email. This post worked for me:
