If you are talking about using a Remote Desktop app, there are several both paid and free. I personally prefer Wyse Pocket Cloud, but I tried every free one I could find and they all worked. If you're talking about accessing a share on a server, especially a Windows Domain server, I haven't found a good solution yet.

Yeah, I'd like to access my Home share on our domain server too. The only solutions I've seen involve paid apps and a specific setup for the server...something about Samba? Anyhoo, it's not my area of expertise, I work Desktop support.
I suppose I could point my Dropbox at my U: drive (what we call our user share). There are instructions on how to redirect Dropbox. I just try to keep copies of the stuff I need where I can get to them.

I use FTP on the Go Pro. Allows me to connect to a server and edit pages, then upload back. Has a built in browser to see your page.

If you talk to your Network or It Admin department they will set you up with a VPN configuration - if you carry sufficient access rights for remote log ins. You should not attempt to connect to a Work system without checking first - in many cases this could be construed as breach of contract. Ask what support they have first.
