Anyone, How do I delete content of mailboxes if I right click it states erase deleted messages and nothing seems to happen. I have over 450 emails total in my different mailboxes and I would like to delete entire contents of many of them without having to select them first. Please help this is maddening.

If you've deleted messages and they are staying in your mailbox, highlight the mailbox, click mailbox on the menu bar, then rebuild. That should remove the already deleted messages.

BGreg, thanks for the input one more question when I clicked on my important messages (not sure how that even populates) mailbox, the mail activity section at the bottom stated incoming messages and started compiling from 1 and counting up to 3446 messages. How do I elminate the 3446 messages that are being stored somewhere?

In mail, under preferences, choose the account, go to the advanced tab, and ensure that 'remove copy from server after retrieving a message' is checked and indicate a timeframe for removal. The other alternative is to go to the source server (yahoo, gmail, etc) and delete them.
