I have unchecked everything I can think of to delete artwork from the screen but it still appears on almost all songs. Nano 5th Gen.

So you removed all the artwork from your tracks in iTunes and then resynced your device with iTunes correct?

Right->click on each track or multiple tracks and select Get Info in iTunes. Then select the Artwork tab and hit the delete button in the window.

After you have done this for every track in iTunes, resync your device.

B-rock. Thanks for your continued help. Just what do you mean "every track"? Do you mean every song (639) That would take forever. I did try to "select all" the info then a window came up with a butch of MT places without any delete tabs. This is on a PC, itunes 9.0

Try highlighting entire albums at once and deleting the artwork. See here for more details.

If not, I'm not positive of any other way to do it other than go through it one by one.  It might help to break up this task into smaller chunks, maybe doing 50 or so songs at a time...

    Hi B-rock.

That is what I did and it seems to work. Although the bat only lasts for about 6 hrs. That *****.

Another issue I have that your expert knowledge may help me. I had to send in my 1st gen Nano on recall. I loved it. Anyway, Apple replaced it with a new 6th Gen. Nano. My itunes was a version 9.0. The new Nano had to have a iTunes ver. 10 to connect. I tried to download ver. 10 but Windows says that the old versions of Apple support, Apple mobile, Apple software updater and Bojour could not be deleted which had to be done before the ver. 10 would install. I poked around all of Apples problems and tried again following their instructions and found that a

msi.dll was missing and installation could not be completed. Here's the pit. Following the instructions I deleted iTunes. I go to My Music and iTunes is there along with my
library but I don't know how to move it back to its original place. Nor do I know how to find and install the msi.dll.

I called apple support and the tech was asian, talked way to fast with to much accent to understand. I was told I had no warrantee even with the new Nano's 90  days. She hung up on me.

My feeling is if Apple is going to require an upgrade of iTunes, then their software should be able to complete the installation with whatever it is dealing with, i.e. lost .dll or deletion of old items in their own software!

Now, with all that said do you have any suggestions as what I should do to move/install iTunes 9.0 back to its original location and how to complete the iTunes upgrade.

I can't thank you enough for all your time and help,

    Kind regards, Bill

Glad to hear the artwork issue is resolved.

As for your next issue, I would definitely recommend posting this in the iTunes forums.  There are some very knowledgeable people there who will be more than willing to help you get things straightened out.

    Hi B-rock

Thanks for all your help. The link helped get me to another which was for a MS Fix it. That took care of being able to fully delete all of the iTunes and associated programs. The key was deleting Quick time. Then just a matter of downloading and installing iTunes 10.... The new iPod, 6th Gen works fine!!!!!!!! And for me is just right without a ton of extras.

    Kind Regards,
