Ever since I turned on photo stream in Aperture, I have about 9 Untitled Folders appearing in my project list at the root level. If I delete them, they come back the next time again. Any ideas how to get rid of them for good?

I am also seeing lots of untitled folders appearing in Aperture. In my case I can tell that hey are being created by new iPhoto events on another iMac on our network that shares the same Apple ID.

Now all I have to do is workout how to stop them being created.

I have the same problem. In my case there are 11 folders without title. It may be appearing when importing photos from my iPhone with the same Apple ID

I would much appreciate if Bruce Bowden or someone else could figure out how to solve the problem and tell us

Same problem with my Aperture! Except I have 121 untitled folders that keep coming back after I've deleted them, each time I relaunch Aperture.

The only work-around I found so far to prevent the creation of additional folders in Aperture, was to turn off the "Automatic import" in the Photo Stream Preferences tab.

I seem to have a photostream folder named February PhotoStream that keeps reappearing everytime I relaunch Aperture. It has no photos in it, and it's the only photostream folder to reappear. Turning photostream off stops it being created. As does stopping automatic import. I've tried completely resetting/deleting photostream but it keeps reoccuring. Fix this Apple!

    Dandyren,

I find the 'february photostream' a feature rather than a bug. I have my photos catalogued by date with folders at year and month level. Each month, Aperture kindly creates a new project with that month's photostream images. I have to move it to the right location but I find it very useful.

I have exactly the same problem with the February Photostream. It's empty and it keeps reappearing despite I delete it and empty the trash. It only happens with that folder. It's obviously a bug of some kind.

I have over 140 Untitled folders that appear whenever I launch Aperture... and they show up when opening the same file in iPhoto. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, and I can delete them, but it's a ritual that I'd like to dispense with.

I have one entitled Mar 2012 Photo Stream, this one is empty and keeps reappearing as everyone else is saying above. Ironically I believe this was the first time I enabled Photostream, seems to come back due to the auto import like some kind of bookmark.

Either way, I am getting annoyed with deleting it when I am organizing my library and I wish Apple would address it and fix it, especially for the ones above dealing with multiple, at least mine is limited to one.

I seem to have a similiar problem.

When I import pictures into a new Project, then move the pictures to other projects and then delete the inital project, the folder reappears after each restart.

Interestingly when relocating masters, the folders that reappear are also created with one picture in them, that is within aperture in another folder.

I figured it out.  It's Photostream stuffing up.  You just need to reset your PhotoStream by completely cancelling everything in it.  I think you do it in Apple Account settings (i did it about a month ago, can't remember).  That solved all my problems.

Well that seems like the fix, in a month or so, you will notice that first folder stays around forever. I had tried that idea over a year ago. I think it is something that Apple will have to fix, eventually.
