- This will result in losing nothing:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Apr 26, 2014 12:58 PM in response to Cherry63447by Zaccor2,yes if you reset your ipod it will erase everything but if you synce photos first then everything will be saved on your computer. Then once the ipod is reset you just go back and click sync photos.
