Q: SATA III SSD only performs SATA I in MacBook Unibody late 2008

I have a MacBook Unibody late 2008 with a OCZ Vertex 3 SATA-III SSD installed.

The Macbook Unibody late 2008 supports up to 3 Gigabit speed (SATA-II port).
The OCZ Vertex 3 supports up to 6 Gigabit speed (SATA-III).

BUT:
although the SSD is able to perform at SATA-III leve (6 Gigabit)l and the MacBook Unibody late 2008 is able to perform at SATA-II level (3 Gigabit) the MacBook only performs at SATA-I level (1.5 Gigabit).

How to change this so that adequate performance (SATA-II leven = 3 Gigabit) will be achieved???

Thx,

SpaceDoc

ps: of course latest Mac OS X (10.6.7) installed.Apple-Support-Forum__Vertex3_Unibody_01.jpg
