Hi,

Is it only us in Asia or is anyone else experiencing the same? I don't see any recent posts on this.

Starting from about 3-4 days back, every iMessage sent on our iDevices will show a brief 'Delivered' then switches to the red Not Delivered. Every one of my family and friends in Asia are experiencing the same, it's really sickening. I am not communicating with anyone beyond Asia on iMessage so I don't know if users in US are experiencing this too? It's really a shame, Jobs would never have allowed this to be left unresolved for so long. User experience was what won many over, what happened?

    Hi,

I am using Messages and have tested to my Phone today and I am not having issues.

I have seen a recent thread where the poster said they are seeing their Contacts as Off line

    See this thread https://discussions.apple.com/message/18530515#18530515

I have also seen a thread where the Not Delivered icon has appeared and the person has checked in to whether the person got the message or not (and they did not)

Neither question has been fully resolved yet.

All my messages keep saying they aren't delivered but they really were. But no matter what I send, It keeps saying "Not Delivered" but the other person receives it. It's happening to my other friends too. I live in the US. So I don't know what the problem is. Also, my imessages beta on mac don't work at all. I have WiFi and everything. But it's just not working right.

    Hi,

The Syncing across devices and the Message beta is relatively new and is linked to the fact the Message Beta is in fact a beta.

As a Sync is involved it is not that strange that sometimes the server delivering the messages is unsure of what status the message is at.

If you could explain in more detail exactly what the messages Beta is doing (or not doing) then we may be able to help.

At the same time the Download has been withdrawn and it may pay to go back to iChat by using the Uninstall option in the Messages Beta menu.

I have the same problem. Almost a week ago it started, almost every single one of my messages first "delivered", then soon after, "not delivered". But the recipients do get all of my messages, also the "not delivered" ones.

    Hi,

The Original Post was for Messages that were not being delivered (with or without the correct notification)

The last two people to join the thread are posting about iMessages that are being delivered but Messages Beta changing what it is telling them.

Mountain Lion is coming as we all know.

Messages will be a part of Mountain Lion.

There are bound to be changes between the Beta and the final release.

I would surmise that there are changes are the server level to deal with this and the Messages Beta is not running smoothly with all the changes.

As the Beta has now been pulled from being a download option I doubt that we can fix this.

    Ralph Jones,

The 1st post in the thread talks about iMessages on iDevices - not Messages Beta on Mac.

In my case, Messages Beta on Mac doesn't play any part at all - this is only using iMessages on iPhone.

    Hi,

    You are right.

It was in my reply to the Original Poster that I said I had tested with Messages Beta (Although that was From and a reply)

The fact is, it is the server that forwards the iMessages to the Apple IDs or iPhone numbers that allows the app on the Mac or the iOS device to display the "Delivered" message or an icon about non delivery or a message about being Not Delivered.

Nothing that we are likely to be able to do to our iPhones or other iOS devices or the Message Beta app are likely to change this.

Hopefully the full version of Messages on the Mac and iOS 6 will resolve this issue.
