Hmmm, rarely use iPhoto except in an effort to try to help with it, but what extension/format are these pics?
GraphicConverter has a powerful Browse Folder function, & many tools for manipulation, & you can keep your Pics wherever you want...
Best Software money I ever spent!
Good morning.... I do feel the format has something to do with this, either that or the fact some of these photos have been through many changes in order to achieve what i have needed to achieve that they now can't be read. Some of them are (or were ) Tiff, others Jpeg but when i tried to export them i chose the format of jpg for them all but it didn't work. I have gone back and tried again on random pictures and some respond to export while others don't, which tends to prove what i believe. i thought it would be overcome by choosing Jpg. It won't mean anything to you but photos taken on my Telecom R6 XT phone are incompatible so i emailed them all, they wouldn't save to desktop so i had to double click and open Telecom (Lightsurf) site and get it done that way, i then changed the format through Save As, that's the short version. I can't rememeber if they went onto Flicka ok, they might have done, but when i finally got an iPhoto disk my delight was tempered by the fact that these photos had to be put onto iPhoto in a different way to the pictures taken on the Samsung Android (dreadful phone but good camera and pics go straight onto mac via the usb cord). The android photos are the ones that seem to export ok. I think i dragged the other photos onto iPhoto. There has to be a connection with why they won't export.
iPhoto should be enough for me. I only need a basic program for storage, rotation, emailing, but i have read that if they are burned within iPhoto they can only read back in iPhoto so i am forewarned about that. If i wish them to read in Windows then i guess i keep them eleswhere in folders and burn to disk from there ( i hope).
I'll answer the other response and add a little more...... thanks

Hello Terence...... When i reply to BDAqua the cursor won't come up while i'm writing and therefore i never know where i am but it has come up for this reply so that's good and i'll just accept as an oddity.
I believe it is iPhoto 05. I'm not on that computer at the moment, i have 06 on this one (10.5). The USB is just a ordinary memory stick thing that works on mac and ms. You will have read my other reply (?) just to put a spanner in the works, i did an experiment on this (06) iPhoto and it imported a couple of pics (from desktop) that were taken on the incompatible phone. It won't help me to think too deeply about why it worked , but it was import, not export, they might be photos that haven't been through too many changes.
I do have these photos still in folders on the desktop but thought iPhoto would keep things tidy and offer options.
My aim is to move the iphoto collection from the 05 (on10.4) to the 06 on this computer which is currently empty except for 3 test photos.
Can you tell me how to export a folder from iPhoto (source list) as a folder rather than they export as individual pictures. when i tried to do it i couldn't find a comand for it so it moves the photos individually. Perhaps the folder/album needs dragging to the desktop.
I have recently bought a Bluetooth device, not set up yet. I'm hoping this will make it easier (than email) to send photos from my ( and others) incompatible phone and that perhaps the photos won't need to go through as many processes. Must also just use the Android as main camera.
