Q: iPod Nano won't turn on
I have an iPod 4th generation Nano 16 GB that has sat in a drawer for a few years and has never been used. Last week, I connected it to iTunes, downloaded some music, then charged it overnight. No luck. I can't get it to start. Any suggestions? Thanks

Lithium-ion batteries need consistent activity in order to maintain any sort of charge or capacity to charge up. Since the iPod went unused for so long, it's likely that the battery is shot and in need of replacement. Apple can swap out the battery for a flat fee. See this page for pricing.

Otherwise, you can also send it to one of many different third party service centers who can also do the same job for a little less. Google "iPod battery replacement service" and you should get a number of results to work with.
