I have the same problem. it looks like iCal is not pushing data to the sync services correctly. I used an Apple app called Syncrospector to see and the entries I was adding in iCal werent showing up there. Which is why is isnt syncing. Called RIM and their support verified that as they are seeing a bunch of calls because of the 10.7.4 update is messing something up.

I'm having a similar issue with other mac sync services and had, from a third party software support, this answer:
"Apple iCal on Lion 10.7.4 no longer syncs calendars with *** through Sync Services"
I think you'll have to wait an update form Blackberry.

Its not a RIM issue. My iPhone wont sync now as well.
The data needs to be in the sync services database in order for it to sync to their devices.
I would belive that iCal doesn't sync with Sync Services, just that my co-worker uses 10.7.4 and they are having no issues at all syncing their Droid or BlackBerry.

Should also add that they dont know what they are talking about.
If iCal wasn't syncing with Sync Services anymore, how is it that my data from my BlackBerry shows up in iCal after I sync? It gets that data from Sync Services.

Unfortunately I can't answer but these are my two issues.
I use (or I'd better say used to) Spanning Sync to sync my iCal with Google Calendar. The service stopped working since 10.7.4.
I've then downloaded Busycal. It was a surprise to find all my old iCal events (exactly what was on iCal prior to 10.7.4).
If I add an event on BusyCal, it shows in iCal.
If I add, edit or delete an event it won't propagate on Busycal.
Can't say nothing more but the whole thing looks like a very big issue, and regards more than one product / company...

After 10.7.4, I agree that data from Blackberry does sync with i-Cal. However, it does not sync the other way around. Any updates, edits or new entries on i-Cal do not sync with Blackberry. This is the issue that I noticed. I am not sure if this is an Apple or BB problem. In any case, it is getting more and more difficult to sync the two systems without running into such problems periodically. For those of us who depend on the reliability of these calendars, missing appointments, etc., causes considerable embarassment. I wish Apple and Blackberry take these issues seriously and resolve them promptly. Technology is supposed to make our lives easier ... and not more difficult.

Same thing is happening to me. I found a tip on another site to download isync and see if it works on Lion, but I don't think its a permanent solution even if it works. I called apple support but they weren't particularly helpful (said it was a blackberry issue). This type of attitudes may encourage me to go back to a PC when I get a new computer.

I have the same problem with BOLD 9900 after Lion 10.7.4 software update ... it would only sync claender entry once way, from BOLD to iMac.
Seems Apple is trying to force users to switch over to iPhone by continuously creating this type of device compatibility issues....not very smart.

1. I am having the same problem.
2. I had the MacBook Air which I upgraded from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4.
The sync process with my Blackberry Pearl 2 would take forever, but it would successfully sync.
3. On another MacBook Air with a Blackberry Bold, when the upgrade was made from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4, the sync wouldn't work.
I called both Rim and Apple, and it turns out it's a problem with Apple.
When I downgraded to 10.7.3, the sync worked again.
4. Now my problem is that I just bought a new MacBook Air that comes with 10.7.4 and I'm using it with my Blackberry Pearl 2.
The sync doesn't work.
On my MacBook Air, I only have "home" that contains all my appointments in my calendar which I exported to my desktop, then I deleted the "home" calendar (then I recreated a new calendar also calling it "home") hence making the calendar completely clear.
I also cleared all calendar items off my Blackberry Pearl 2.
I opened up Blackberry Desktop Manager and it shows "Home" "Work" and "Reminder".
Firstly I don't have "Reminder" anywhere within calendar.
Secondly, when I made the sync supposedly from a clear calendar on my MacBook to a clear calendar on my Blackberry Pearl, I should be syncing nothing to nothing from nothing.
BUT appointments were transferred to my blackberry AND my MacBook calendar is still clear.
5. Apple, please fix this.

I'm having the same problem, but I have an Android phone and using Missing Sync as my sync software. Everything worked fine until I upgraded to Lion and then installed the updates. The guys at Missing Sync have been tracking this problem closely because it has affected so many of their users. It has basically made their sync software useless to Mac users. The problem seems to be with the way Apple handles the iCal data. It no longer goes through Sync Services and therefore is not accessible to Missing Sync and other syncing apps.
Apple, please fix this or you are going to make some of us recent converts from PC to Mac regret our decision. It is worthless to have calendar events on iCal and not be able to see them on my phone when I am away from my Mac at a meeting.

The support rep I have been working with at RIM verified that its an Apple issue with iCal not pushing the data to the Sync Services. The application does still use Sync Services, or else the Droid/BlackBerry data would not show up in iCal.
He said something along the lines of iCal is not doing a 'fasy sync' when data is put in to it, which makes it impossible for other apps to access it.
Our office just moved over to the Mac system (small office, 12 users). Our Manager opted to keep the Windows machines around 'just in case'. 10 of the 12 users are now back on Windows because of this.

I was able to get my sync working again by deleting the Calendar Cache file. You can do this by first quitting iCal and your sync app, then going to: ~/Library/Calendars/ and deleting all of the calendar cache files (sometimes there are multiple ones). Start iCal again and it will be forced to sync again with Sync Services.
Again, I am using the Missing Sync app, so it may not work for other third party sync apps, but it is worth a try.
