Currently Being ModeratedFeb 14, 2006 5:24 PM (in response to Erich Meatleg)This is a very common problem, but I (and others) have found a solution using PrintFab (http://www.printfab.net/). It's obviously a driver problem, and one that I wish Apple would fix. Printfab costs $$$, but fixes the problem.iMac G4, Mac OS X (10.4.4)

lately i rerouted my printer through bonjour. for some reason it works better, but if i have any more hangups i wont hesitate to get printfab. does it have any specific preference options that make it work better with airport express?

Currently Being ModeratedMar 4, 2006 10:09 AM (in response to Erich Meatleg)just an update...ever since i rerouted my printer thru bonjour (not just adding it with the printer choosing utility directly from the wireless network) i havent had a single problem not matter if i am printing from photoshop, iphoto, preview etc. try this before you spend money on another piece of software cause its free...
anyone else concur? i think this is the answer...PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.2)
Currently Being ModeratedMar 5, 2006 6:17 PM (in response to François Mottaz)i was having the hangup problem since i moved last september. since that time, when i added my printer to my airmac express network, it always said "apple base station" under "connection" in the "print browser". recently though, i logged into ichat and i activated my bonjour account by clicking the "Use Bonjour Instant Messaging" box. Since then, i re-added the printer using the "Printer Browser" and it now lists "Bonjour" as the connection. The location is listed as "Base Station 611be5" but i do NOT remember it saying Bonjour under the connection before.
i am guessing that when i activated bonjour in my iChat preferences it triggered problem free printing.....or it might have something to do with creating that Jabber account. somehoe it seems to have opened some ports that dont hang up or something... does your "print browser" list "bonjour as your connection?
