Jun 10, 2012 8:51 AM in response to Sternshinesssssby Is_it_just_me,Mostly I charge directly into my Mac with the provided cable but I also tried to charge it with my iPhone wall adapter.
I should mention that I bought this unit from a company that re sells the iPods after they waterproof the inside of the unit. Also I have mailed it to them to repair/replace under warranty. I troubleshot the unit 6 ways from Sunday. With multiple cable charging sources and both pc and Mac iTunes software. Nothing worked at all. My bet is water damage and either way WaterFi can now deal with it. I hope it is an anomaly because swimming Laos with an iPod is awesome. I wish Apple would see the advantage of appealing to this market so I could purchase my next unit directly from them. It isn't just for swimmers jogging in the rain or summer to the beach with a set of waterproof speakers. There are many benefits to having your shuffle waterproofed

Sorry, but i am not sure why it wont work when you charge via mac?! Have you registered it with ITunes, if you havnt this may be why.
