How do I place chapters in idvd when I have them in an imovie.   I placed them in imovie and then shared.  I opened idvd but they don't show in idvd.

iDVD '08, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    Try sharing to Media Browser rather than to iDVD. Then drag the movie from the Media Browser into the iDVD menu being careful to avoid any drop zones.  That will create two links on that menu, a play menu and a link to the chapters in a sub menu.

    This video screenshot shows what you should get but it shows dragging from the desktop rather than from the media browser:

    Click to play video screenshot

    By the way, using the Share ➙ Media Browser method will give you a higher image quality in the iDVD project that using the Share ➙ iDVD method.

    If you still can't get the chapters into iDVD try this basic troubleshooting fix :

    1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your

         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.

    2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your

         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.

    Click to view full size

    3 - launch IDVD and try again.

    If still no success try creating a new project and give it another go.  Also be sure you don't place chapter markers at the beginning of the movie or within 2 seconds of a transition.
