Jun 11, 2012 6:52 AM in response to Beware The Timid Lifeby futureceoofapple,Just did a little research. You must publish your book from iBooks Author if you have media files in it. That arror code means that there is a file type error. If you upload using iBooks Author then that code should go away.
Here is a link to another post that may help you:

Jun 11, 2012 7:36 AM in response to futureceoofappleby Beware The Timid Life,Thanks for your ideas. Unfortunately, there are no media files in it, and I did try to upload again, and got the same result. What do you think my next step is? Any ideas?

Jun 11, 2012 7:40 AM in response to Beware The Timid Lifeby futureceoofapple,Stange. Are you sure that is the right error code? If it is then try going back through all of your meta data to make sure that everything is correct.

Jun 11, 2012 8:13 AM in response to futureceoofappleby Beware The Timid Life,my publisher sent me the epub file. My knowledge is limited -- would you tell me how I could open the file to search for the chapter 7.html error? Can I open it with Pages? As for metadata, I can proof the information I entered with iTunes Producer, but it doesn't appear to me (again with very limited knowledge) that it could come from there. Where else would I find metadata?
thanks for your replies.

Jun 11, 2012 8:20 AM in response to Beware The Timid Lifeby futureceoofapple,Have you asked your publisher to sent you the file again? The file may just be corrupted. If you get a new file try to use that one and see if it goes smoothly.
