You can't. iPhone warranty is country specific, & yours is only valid in the US. You won't receive any warranty or support, in India, for a US purchased iPhone. You will have to physically return the phone to Apple, in the US, for all warranty & support issues, and no you cannot mail the phone to Apple...they do not accept International shipments.

    vikash,

Your uncle can purchase applecare for you in the US. All he needs is your serial number.

Yep, but that won't do the OP any good in India.

purchased applecare is world wide. It's the complementary service that's country specific.

Oh wait... never mind.... the apple store needs the phone to be there to get applecare+. Never mind. Sorry vikash... unless you send the phone to your uncle within 30 days of purchase, you are out of luck. Next time, make sure that whoever buys you the phone buys you applecare too.

Not for iPhone...again, ALL iPhone warranty & support is country specific...including AppleCare for iPhone.

Well, I'm just going to have to let that apple store genius have it who told me otherwise.

    Sorry for having wrong information.
