Downloadlaoded Clean Genious Pro from the Mac App store a few months ago. Had a recent upgrade last week. I went to remove duplicates and it removed all my files. The dowload suggested solution was to downlaod and buy EaseUs Data Recovery.

 

It recovered nothing. Now I am left with a huge ghost file on my drive that indicates my free space is gone - yet because of the ghost file tag I have no access to this.

 

Now, I can not even find the app in the Mac Store?

 

I have filed a complaint with Pay Pal for a full refind from EaseUs.

 

I know it can be fixed by taking it into a store and having the ghost file code deleted. But, I can not do this. Major "Hassel Factor" with EaseUS.

 

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Hi..

     

    Number one. Macs do not need third party so called "cleaing" utilities. Your Mac runs maintenance for you.

     

    Since this is third party software, (non Apple), even Apple may not be able or willing to remove the offending file.

     

    Best way to rid the software from your Mac is to reformat the drive using Lion Recovery
