Is there any app that will clean up .bom files after you have deleted any app from the system. It seems that alot of crap is left in the folder that  they reside.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7), MacBook Pro (2007) (2010)

Normally these files are used by the system to determine what is installed for the purpose of software updates.  How do you know they are "crap"  ?

In the future, you can use "AppCleaner" to uninstall applications and all their attendant bits and pieces.

"CleanMyMac" is a paid app, but has an automated routine for cleaning up after uninstalls and many other "cleaning" routines for the mac.
