Q: Aperture 3.3 RW2 issues

My newly imported .RW2 RAW images into Aperture 3.3 are completely dark and green after the import process.  RAW fine tuning is also greyed out.  Is there a new preference I'm missing or is this just a horrible bug?

Wha is your camra make? Check this list of supported cameras: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4757

Maybe you need to reinstall a raw support from the downloads page: http://support.apple.com/downloads/

Are you running MacOS 10.7.4 and just upgraded the MacOS? Then it may help to register your camera with the lauch services database; see this thread:

This helped meRe: Getting very green tint on importing GF 1 RAW files.

This fixed it for me https://discussions.apple.com/message/18450812#18450812

Open terminal, paste the following. Try again.

    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

    Hi,

My problem is the same as the original poster (Imatore).  I have Panasonic GX1 and could import RAW (RW2 format) with no problem until I updated the Aperture to 3.3.2, then all my RAW have very dark green cast.  I was hoping that the new OS Lion/ML would fix the issue but to no avail.

I tried the Terminal app script that Andrew Lord suggested but nothing happened.

My DC RAW versions are up to date....should I reinstall my  DC RAW update version for my camera which is a few versions OLDER than the current version?  How do I do this?

    What else shold I try?

    Thanks!

I’m having exactly the same problem. Importing rw2 pictures from Panasonic DMC-LX3.

Same pictures imported into previous version of aperture were fine,

currently running OS 10.7.4 with Aperture v.3.3.2.

    A solution would be nice?

    Thanks..

I have the same problem!!! It seems to have just started as two weeks ago when I first downloaded RAW2 files from my Panasonic DMC-LX5, all seemed to work just fine. Now Aperture 3.3.2 automatically processes the files and ruins them in the fashion described above.

I found that if I copy the file from the camera to the desktop and then import to Aperture from the desktop (instead of the camera), the RAW2 file in Aperture does not get automatically processed. This is the reason why two weeks ago I did not experience this problem: I had copied the camera RAW2 files into a separate desktop folder to process them once I downloaded Aperture 3.3.2. Anyway, an extra step that seems to work around whatever the source of the problem is.
