Hi! I've just received today an email from Apple that told me that they had send me a new Iphone..

I've asked for support in november 2011 because my home bottom had some several problems.

 

But the problem is that I've already received a new Iphone 4 in november at the same week that i ask for the support...

So what It mean this email that I received from apple today?!?!?

 

Also if I click to the link for seeing the current status of my shipping the result is that the product has been delivered!

So?!?! I dont'understand??

 

Did they send me another Iphone 4??

    Post the email (omitting personal information) here. I'd like to see if its genuine or not. also what was the email address that was sent from?

    Apple doesn't just send out iphones unless a repair is in place. Or you get a special exception from Customer Relations. But ultimately you will be made very aware of Apple sending you a device and not by some random email.

     

    But do post the email without personal information just to be sure.

    The body text was that Apple had completed my assistance service and send me an Iphone 4 sostitutive   today! Via ups currier.. there is also a link to see the delivery status but when i click there is the completed status of delivery of november!!!

     

    What the **** is going on?!?!??!

The delivery will take two working days (five working days if the product is an iPod or iPad, which has personalized engraving).

    looks legit. What you need to do is IF you get it at your house. just do the return requirements with the same phone. OR deny delivery from UPS. they will ship it back to Apple and their warehouse will take care of it No worries about this.

    Yes ed3k but My assistance has been already done and finish in november! Why right now after about 7 months I received this email told me that they send me a new Iphone!?!?

    Like I said. I wouldn' stress about it. I've seen that happen before. its a cross-issue with warehouse information and Apple database. If you are worried what you can do is call Apple Tech support and inform them that you recived this. They can look up your account and check their system for any replacement requests.

    Yes I think it's a database problem or something like that. I mean the link of ups services is the same and the status is: delivered. So when I read that email I really start to getting afraid....I mean I havent done anything, why apple send my an email about that?!? I hope all is all right

    No worries. it was just a glitch. I've seen that quite a few times.
