May you please elaborate... What media/video player are you using to view the footage, what format/codec is the video footage recorded in, and what's the exact text/messge your player gives you when it doesn't want to play the newer footage?

I honestly dont know the codec, how can I find out? I basically can see it when I play it back on my camera like normal, but when i instert the disk into my computer, it reads all footage, except the last few videos i recorded. I used a sony handy cam. The footage just doesnt show up on the compter screen, like it was never recorded.

Do you know if your comcorder has built-in internal flash storage? In other words, is your comcorder able to store video in two separate locations, one being the external SD card and the other being the internal storage that is already built-in to the camcorder?
Also, does your comcorder automatically format your SD card to have many different folders and sub-folders? Could it be possible that some of your videos are saved in the SD card, but in a different folder within the SD card, than the majority of the videos are saved in.

I was thinking that, because there are a ton of folders. I clicked through them and saw nothing but these grey things. No new video. I will click around again to triple check.
