    To use iCloud you need

    OS 10.7.4 and

    iPhoto 11 v9.2

    minimum.

If you have an earlier version of iPhoto (i.e. iPhoto 08 or iPhoto 09) then you need tp purchase iPhoto 11.

    Regards

    I got OS 10.7.5

    iPhoto ver 08

I need to purchase iPhoto 11.

I open App Store, click on iPhoto available version (9.5.1) at this moment. When INSTALL it's clicked this menu pops up > "We could not complete your purchase. iPhoto can't be installed on "Macinstosh HD" because Mac OS X version 10.9 or later is required"

    What's next?

    Thanks in advanced.

Free upgrade to Mavericks (if your system supports it) and then purhase iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store - be sure to backup prior to any update/upgrade

    Thanks Larry for your reply.

Unfortunately my system (Macbook Air Early 2008) it does not support the upgrade up to Mavericks.

On the other hand I found a solution that it worked for me SteveJHarris , it's simple as purchase Aperture that will allow you to use Photo Stream and download to your Mac all images storaged in you iCloud. I got same problem as you trying to get iPhoto work in my old Mac together with photo stream, I did everything I colllected from different post but one step follows you to another and finally an end road when you running on an old Mac.

Downloading Aperture will sort this out, just install the software and get all your stuff from iCloud to your system. (be sure the version you'r downloading its the latest)

    regards,

    Roberto
