I suspect this is Apple moving away from Software Update and into the App Store. I have been tempted to call Apple to see if the URL for Software Update Server needs to be changed.

I checked this morning and most of the updates are now available and working. The only ones that are not are all called Server Essentials from 6/13/12. There are 5 of them and none are working.

Well. I just checked four of my Software Update Servers..... Lion Server 10.7.4 and they continues to have problems with the "Server Essentials" group of updates - 5 of them with Post Dates of 6/11/2012 and 6/13/2012.
I'm seeing this at four physically and network(ly) seperate sites in the greater Bay Area.
All other updates cleared a few days ago but from my discussion with Apple Enterprise Tech Support.... the engineers just now, they are still "Working on it" thus aware of the issue. Apparently with most engineers at WWDC last week, not a lot got done or is getting done yet this week and so the issue is still "Open" and known at this point

I now have all but one "Server Essentials" as green.... actually all are green.... but one cannot be "Enabled" .... I don't know why.
But I have a better question - What is the world are the Server Essentials for?
I have 11 Server Esentials but none of my various servers seem interested in consuming any of this Software Updates..... so.... what are these Server Essentials? The only thing "documentation" says is "This package installs Server Essentials."
Wow. That's not very much detail. ;-)
Anyone know what these are for?
Anyone seen a server using these?
