Jun 13, 2012 12:43 PM in response to mikee316by andrewmlapointe, well airplane mode is ment to disable wifi and all other wireless conections like celluar data. So if wifi does not work when airplane mode is in the off mode, i would try to turn off and then on the device and then sync it to your computer. See if that helps. If not let me know and I will attach a support link

Jun 13, 2012 12:49 PM in response to mikee316by Texas Mac Man,You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.
Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Jun 23, 2012 1:12 PM in response to mikee316by Ralph9430,When you are NOT in airplane mode do you have Bluetooth turned on? If you do and don't need it turn it off. Then leave airplane mode off and try Wi-Fi again.
