Ran Apple Hard Test and receive this error code "4SNS/1/40000000:VNDC11.179".  What does this mean?

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

That is a sensor error.  Some have reset PRAM which reset the error condition:

    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    3. Turn on the computer.
    4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
    5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    6. Release the keys.

I would also download iStat Pro to keep a periodic eye on temps in the system.

I appreciate the help -- although, after doing further research, I discovered the "VN" portion of of the error code the stand for V-voltage, N -northbridge (motherboard controller).  Also, I read that PRAM was w/PowerPC and VRAM is w/intel Macs.  Based on that, do you think reseting the VRAM will correct the issue with the sensor even though the code is indicating that that sensor issues are related to voltage and not temperature?  Please let me know what you think

That's incorrect. VRAM is video random access memory and unrelated to PRAM. Reset the PRAM, and see if that helps. You can also reset the SMC which covers power-related resets.

I ran the PRAM and SMC and the AHT still indicates error with the last 4 numbers changing.   What is odd though and maybe just coinsadental, whenever I log on under my normal user (which is where I was when problem first occured) the computer will in most case cutt off.  But when I log in under the administrator I can use the computer for long periods of time before it will cut off if it does at all.  Is this an inidication of what the problem might be. As I said before the "VN" portion of the error, based my research mean "Voltage Northbridge (mother controller)".  So how do these symtoms all tie in and or why?

When you log in as user versus administrator, do you have login items under user that you don't have under administrator? Wondering if you do, whether by some odd chance there is some software that is stressing the system in an odd way? I'd look at login items under users in System Preferences. Also look at any software listed at the bottom of the System Preferences pane.
