I am running OS X 10.7.4 and need to go back to 10.7.3.  How can I do this?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Why do you need to do this? Have you saved the 10.7.3 Installer Application? If you did not, then there is no backward path.

Have you contacted Avid tech support to see if they have a solution for you? Nothing on their site suggests it is incompatible with 10.7.4.

What backups do you have available? Any that go back prior to your update to 10.7.4?

Otherwise, all I can suggest is to contact your local Apple retailer to see if they can install the earlier version for you.

The only way to revert to 10.7.3 is to revert to a backup you made when you had 10.7.3 installed, or to have kept a 10.7.3 install app.  If you reinstall now, you'll get what's on Apple's servers, which is 10.7.4.

If you don't have a 10.7.3 backup, I'd advise trying to figure out how to update MC.  If the update isn't working, you should get back in touch with Avid support and try to figure out why.
