Q: Finder will not work for Mounted folders, Adobe Photoshop 5.5 crashes

This Mac Pro was bought with OS 10.6, and the finder could locate files on a Networked folder. The folders are stored on a windows server 2008 with Extremz-IP server software installed to emulate AFP on the server. I upgraded the Mac to 10.7 and now cannot locate any files on the network folder. I bought 8 other Macs with Lion installed and none of them is having the finder issues.

I then formatted the Mac, and re-installed Lion, it worked for a day and the finder issue and photoshop crashes resumed,. When I called apple they asked me to run verify disk utlity , verify disk permssions, and repair, this did not solve the issue, so am waiting on a call back.

is there a fix for this?

Mac Pro (Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

I had the same connection problem. I am using a iMac with 10.7.4 running on it and Extremez-IP on a Windows server. It appears the mac is possibly trying to connect using IPv6 (which still is not brilliant)

So open System Preferences in Apple Menu, Network, Ethernet, Advanced, Configure IPv6 change to Link-local only, click apply.
