Im new to Apple. My 2012 15" Macbook Pro (updated to Lion, and assume I have the most recent updated version) is running excruciatingly slow. Takes forever to start-up, and to wake up from sleep. It acts as if it is running a billion tasks at once.
I updated to Lion with backing up (I know, I know, I screwed up). I then created another Admin profile, which runs MUCH better.
I have run "verify disc" and "repair disc" numerous times and have not seen any improvement.
I want to erase the drive and reload the system. In PC parlance, I want to reformat.
Please advise the best course of action.
