Jun 30, 2012 3:11 PM in response to HAYARPIby _wli,You can always create a new account for free.
If you haven't bought anything with your existing account, there is nothing to lose by trying to make a new one

Aug 17, 2012 10:55 AM in response to HAYARPIby mclake,I just had the same problem connecting to itunes, and it seems to be not that uncommon. One solution is described here, http://ipadinsight.com/ipad-tips-tricks/a-fix-for-cannot-connect-to-itunes-store -errors-on-ipad/
I called Apple Support, and they took me through all of the usual steps listed in the above article, except they had me reboot my wireless router. After rebooting the router, I could connect.

Aug 25, 2012 6:46 AM in response to HAYARPIby Woblgob,We had a similar problem with our iPad2. The app store icon showed that we had 5 updates available, but when we clicked on the Update tab "Cannot Not Connect to iStore" came up. We tried all the suggestions, closed all the apps, reset th device whilst both logged into and logged out of the App Store. iTunes was working fine as was Safari and YouTube, so knew th wifi connection wasn't the fault.
Contacted Apple Support and a great guy there tried his best, Fillipe but to no avail. He said h was very puzzled that we could get iTunes store but not the Apps Store.
Now this could just be a fluke, but we logged out of iTunes on our desktop pc, it is always online and we don't logged out of iTunes or turn the computer off, but as soon as we logged out of iTunes store, we could connect to the Apps Store on the iPad2, happy days... As I say, it may or may not help someone out there, it worked for us. Good luck.
