You will need to explain what you mean.

Apple routers are devoid of what most high end routers provide for networking.. vlan, multiple IP subnets, even a firewall (although there is a firewall for ipv6). If you wanted to divide a network using those type of tools, then no, they are not available. It is also not able to use usb for things likes 3G sticks.. no matter how useful it would be. Apple design process is from genius to idiots.. it is supposed to "just work" although networking is probably the one area that philosophy breaks down.

Plug your computer into it by ethernet.. if you are in hotel room you will need to use it independently of the wifi system in the hotel.. it is not a wireless sharing device. It is a backup device for TM with wifi available and a router.. you can join to your own network but joining to the hotel system is useless.

Did you read the apple support and apple manuals at the head of the section?

That will give you a good idea of how to set it up.

But you still haven't told us what you want to do with it.

If you want it as way to join multiple devices by wifi to a hotel system.. no it won't work.

Lots of folks have successfully used an Airport Express Base Station with many hotel systems to do exactly that. What's different about a TC?

A whole different architecture. The TC for example will NOT support ProxySTA.

    Pastenague is correct.
