Mar 14, 2012 9:04 PM in response to Klaus_Aby kurt188,Actually, the links from Apple's web site are not working, but the files are still there; I just downloaded them all yesterday. In fact, files they don't list on the web site are there too; you just have to know the correct URL to download it.
Which version of iTunes were you looking for?

I would like to find this file on Apple's archive server as he suggests.

Jul 5, 2012 6:03 AM in response to Texas Mac Manby Beige Box,Tom, I managed to locate the following OS 9.0 install download:
Mac OS 9 (North American English; 5-part download)
http://www.mediafire.com/?u3iunzku3igye
I downloaded it and it installed perfectly. One question, and it's a newbie one...is there a way to "verify" that the installer is original and has not been tampered with in some way?
Everything seems fine - it's just that I don't know the source for the upload.

Level 4 (1,877 points)
Mac OS XIt looks like a segmented September 1999 Toast copy of a July 1999 installer of OS 9.0 - final mounted used size 523 Mb.
It takes a long time to download and forever to extract.
It appears OK but I cannot say it has not been tampered with.

Jul 5, 2012 12:29 PM in response to Neville Hillyerby Beige Box,Can the files be verified with something like SHA1 or are they too old?

Jul 5, 2012 12:41 PM in response to Beige Boxby Neville Hillyer,I suspect this only works for dmg files - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1652
In this case somebody has used Toast to produce a segmented iso image of the contents of an install CD.

Jul 5, 2012 2:06 PM in response to Texas Mac Manby tanner1294,Plus I didn't even see Mac OS 9.2.2 update in there. Does anybody know where I can get it? Software Update in OS 9 is complaining about not having internet even though I'm surfing the web on the same computer haha. It's on 9.2.1 but The Sims won't play (it says it needs Mac OS 8.6 or higher and then quits.... I've seen other apps do this if you don't have the final version of each Mac OS release. I've had an app that said it worked on Leopard 10.5.1 and higher but you actually NEED 10.5.8 or it won't open.)
