Q: Mainstage/guitar rig4/midi

Hi all hope everyone is good

I was hoping someone could shed some light here. No wanted to know how I would go about setting up my controller pedal board to use the loop machine from guitar rig 4 within mainstage 2?

Can this be done

My controller is working perfect in mainstage but unsure how I go about mapping it to guitar rig as well.

Many thanks

I don;t use guitarRig anymore....I gave up on it after a new release trashed all of my presets.

    However:

GuitarRig to my understanding behaves like a VST synth. (for lack of a better description)

Like all synths, the functionality it provides to the Host are completely up to the manufacturer.

Guaranteed, there will be some functions that MS cannot control in GuitarRig.

If I were in your shoes, I would forget about trying to use the MIDI controller to control guitar rig, and I would setup a LOOPBACK channel in MS instead.

In this setup, the recording is in sync with the Host.

Not to be insulting, but it is my opinion that MS guitar simulations are far superior to guitar rig anyway, and you will eat up less CPU accomplishing the same thing.
