Mar 11, 2012 9:39 PM in response to drDarlaby randers4,Open the playlist, tap the Edit button at the top, drag the songs to the order you prefer by dragging the handles on the right of each song (three horizontal lines). Tap Done at the top when finished.

Jul 7, 2012 6:31 PM in response to Rafofpby randers4,Should work the same way. From page 88 of the manual (iPad User Guide (For iOS 5.1 Software):
If it's not working suggest you post you question over in the iPad forum.

Oct 31, 2015 9:13 AM in response to randers4by Julia Benham,Really? ONE song at a time? If you have a LOT of songs or albums in a playlist, that would take way too long! Personally, I would like to sort the Playlist by Album name. I can do it in iTunes, but not in the Playlist on my iPhone 5s.
Apple Support - would you please add another customer vote to this request. I'm sure you already have this on your list of enhancement requests. Thank you!
