Getting message:  "Your startup disk is full.  You need to make more space available on your startup disk by deleting files".  Is this a routine maintenance issue?

    Provide the details on the startup disk: size, used, and free. Then, tell us what you're doing to cause the message to appear and maybe we can help.

    27" i7 iMac 10.6.8, Mac OS X (10.7.4), G4 450 MP w/Leopard, 9.2.2
