Q: Ipod and Nike Free Ru

I have done all the steps above and it will still not activate the sensor.  I have pushed the button on the back to make sure its "awake" and tried to relink.  Help!  I've been trying for months to get this thing to work. Thanks

MacBook (13-inch Late 2007), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

What happens if you try to reset your device first by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Does the iPod not see the sensor at all and it never has?  If so, it could be a faulty sensor, in which case I would return it for a replacement or refund.
