Apps do not update

Apps seem to be stuck in update mode.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iOS 5.1.1

    Try rebooting your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You will not lose any data or settings.  Once it comes back up, see if you can update apps.

    Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music or Movies. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
