Up until a couple of months ago, I was able to connect to the MS Exchange Server -- I believe that at the time we were running Exchange Server 2003 -- using Mail 3.6 under OSX v. 10.5.8.

One day, I lost the ability to SEND mail, but could still RECEIVE mail through that account. This lasted for a few weeks, I think, before I lost the ability to receive as well.

This appears to have coincided with a rolling migration to Exchange Server 2007.

The two options that I can see are that:

  1. Mac Mail/Leopard is totally incompatible with ES 2007 and that's that, or;
  2. Some service that was running on the old server didn't get turned on in the migration (This happened at least once before, which is why I thought of it).

If the situation is the former, then I am simply scrod and doomed to using Microsoft Web Access for all eternity(*shudder*). If it's the latter, then I need to figure out what service(s) might not be turned on on the server side.

Anybody have any suggestions?
